Adam Krause netted a hat trick, including the winning goal with 16 seconds remaining as Hermantown defeated Hibbing-Chisholm 5-4 in a high school boys hockey nonconference game Friday night at Hermantown.
Charlie Comnick tied the game with 36 seconds left before Krause closed the teams' regular seasons with his 33rd goal of the season.
Third-ranked Hermantown enters the Section 5A playoffs with a 22-3 record.

Kevin Noreen, Minnesota's all-time leading scorer, tallied 23 points to lead the second-ranked Wolves (20-3) to the victory in Maple. Tyler Forsythe led the Tigers (17-4) with 14 points, as eighth-ranked Northwestern's seven-game winning streak was snapped.

Ashley Gibson scored four goals and had an assist as the Wildcats' top line dominated the defending section champions in the Section 7A title game in Cloquet.
Samantha Lorr added two goals and four assists for Chisago Lakes (12-13-3), which snapped the Golden Bears' 10-game winning streak.
Amanda Arbogast had the lone goal for Eveleth-Gilbert (22-5-1).
