Austin Pohlen scored 29 points and teammate Eric Stark added 26 as Grand Rapids held off Superior 77-68 in overtime Thursday night at Superior in a battle of the News Tribune's top two-ranked high school boys basketball teams.
Rob Kraft scored 28 points and hit seven 3-pointers, and Joel Lindberg added 27 points and a trio of 3-pointers for the Spartans (17-3), who had their 22-game home win streak against Minnesota schools snapped.
Josh Kimmes' tip-in at the buzzer capped a five-point Superior rally in the final minute of regulation before the Thunderhawks (18-2) outscored the Spartans 13-4 in overtime for their 10th consecutive victory.

Superior senior diver Mike Sherwood competes in today's WIAA Division 1 state meet today in Madison.
