Kenny Mellin scored twice during a five-goal second period to lead Duluth East to a 6-2 victory over Superior in a high school boys hockey game Monday night at Wessman Arena in Superior.
The Greyhounds outshot the Spartans 50-16 to raise their record to 12-5-3 and extend their unbeaten streak to four.

Mac Dow scored a power-play goal midway through the third period to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Hilltoppers to the Lake Superior Conference victory at Heritage Center in a game in which they owned a 55-9 advantage in shots on goal.
