Three members of the Superior boys hockey team were named to the Wisconsin Hockey Coaches Association's all-state hockey team.

Senior defenseman Trent Olson and junior forward Aaron Miller were first-team selections and junior forward Aaron Wakefield-Zubiate was an honorable mention pick.

The Spartans were 19-8-1 this past season and advanced to the WIAA state tournament, defeating Fond du Lac 6-3 and losing to Eau Claire Memorial 5-3 in the semifinals.

Miller led the Spartans in scoring with 36 goals and 38 assists for 74 points, the second-best season ever at Superior.

Wakefield-Zubiate finished with 15 goals and 35 assists for 50 points, while Olson had five goals and nine assists as a defensive captain.
