Power has been restored to most of the Minnesota Power customers in East Duluth affected by an outage that began Saturday afternoon.

The Minnesota Power electrical outage map was reporting nearly 7,000 customers out of power in Duluth as of 3:26 p.m. Saturday. A large, rotted tree fell onto a line, taking out two feeders, according to a Minnesota Power tweet. At 8 p.m. the outage map was showing five customers in Duluth still without power.

Crews working to restore power found several issues leading to the outages in the Lakeside and Woodland neighborhoods.
