With the weather getting colder, the Duluth Police Department is reminding citizens not to leave their cars and trucks running unattended and unlocked.

City ordinance prohibits leaving keys in an unattended vehicle. Police advise that, if people insist on warming up their vehicles or leaving them run, to roll up the windows and lock the doors.

Duluth Police received a report Tuesday evening of a running, unlocked vehicle being stolen from in front of a person's East Hillside home. Police later recovered the vehicle in West Duluth and arrested a juvenile boy. Charges are being requested from the St. Louis County Attorney's Office, Juvenile Division.
