A 21-year-old man is being held on suspicion of third-degree burglary, damage to property and possession of stolen property after police thwarted a burglary in progress at Jack's Mobil Service in Duluth on Saturday, according to the Duluth Police Department.

At about 4 a.m., a person walking in the area reported hearing the sound of breaking glass, and when police arrived at the gas station, 1130 E. Fourth St., they saw a person inside with a sweatshirt pulled up over his face. He had grabbed about 70 packs of cigarettes.
