Duluth police are seeking help identifying suspects in two robberies that occurred Thursday night.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at 12th Avenue East and First Street at 10:58 p.m. Thursday. A male victim was walking through the area when he was approached by two males and one female. One of the assailants punched the victim and took his glasses, cellphone and wallet. The victim was brought to St. Luke's hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The male who punched the victim was described as wearing a stocking cap.

The second robbery occurred five minutes later. The male victim was approached in the 1200 block of East Second Street by two males who asked him for a cigarette. When the victim told them he didn't smoke, they immediately began punching him and stole his laptop, wallet and iPhone. One of the male suspects was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a blue or black bandana. The other was wearing a dark jacket.

The Duluth Police Department has increased patrols in the areas where the robberies occurred; investigators are following multiple leads.

If a robber is trying to attack, you should not resist, and give up your property, police say. Report the crime and try to describe the suspect accurately.
