Duluth police are reporting a rash of graffiti vandalism downtown in recent weeks.
A group of vandals has been using spray paint, paint pens and permanent markers to leave their mark on property downtown. Police today said the damage from the graffiti has caused "extensive property damage.''
Anyone with information on the case, or who has experienced graffiti damage, is asked to call Officer Michael Tinsley at 390-2863.
"It's pretty substantial, both city property and private property,'' said Tinsely, who added that the group has been leaving a distinct mark in their damage.
The Duluth report comes on the heels of major graffiti vandalism in Cloquet and Hermantown in recent weeks, although authorities said they don't suspect the cases are related.
