A 42-year-old man was arrested Thursday for DWI after the vehicle he was driving struck a home in Zenith Terrace Park in Duluth, police said.

According to Duluth Police Department reports:

Officers were dispatched to the crash scene at 5:39 p.m. While on their way, officers received reports that the male driver was being uncooperative and making threats.

At the scene, a witness told officers how an on-coming truck suddenly veered in front of her, crossed Cypress Street, ran off the road, across the yard and hit a mobile home. The driver got out of his truck and got into an argument with the homeowner and another motorist "who assisted the homeowner in restraining the driver of the red truck."

The Duluth man was arrested for DWI, test refusal and inattentive driving. Court records do not show that he has been formally charged yet. The News Tribune typically does not name suspects until they are formally charged in court.

A search of Minnesota District Court records show the man was convicted of DWI in 2000 and 2006, speeding in 2003, and disorderly conduct in 1997.
