An 18-year-old Duluth man was being held in the St. Louis County Jail after crashing a stolen car Wednesday night and striking three other vehicles.

Duluth police responded to the accident at Lake Avenue and First Street at

7:15 p.m. As an officer approached the two vehicles involved, one vehicle with two occupants in it backed up and began to drive away, ignoring officers' commands to stop.

The vehicle traveled south on Interstate 35. A short time later the vehicle was found abandoned just north of the Port Terminal. A police dog tracked from the stolen vehicle to the

800 block of Garfield Avenue where two males were found hiding.
