The Duluth Huskies open the Northwoods League North Division playoffs Monday in a best-of-three series against the St. Cloud River Bats in St. Cloud, Minn.
The Huskies clinched the second-half division title Friday with a 6-5 road victory over the Madison Mallards, while Mankato lost 8-7 in 10 innings to St. Cloud. Duluth's game Saturday in St. Cloud wasn't completed when this edition of the News Tribune went to press. The Huskies conclude the regular season at home today against St. Cloud at 7:05 p.m.
The Huskies are home Tuesday for the second game of the playoff series and Wednesday, if necessary. All games are at7:05 p.m.
Playoff tickets are available today at the Wade Stadium ticket office from 5-8 p.m. and at the team's Holiday Center office 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. For more information call 786-9909.
The Huskies have qualified for the playoffs for the second time in their five-year membership in the Northwoods League.
