An outdoor-themed indoor children’s play area is coming to Miller Hill Mall in Duluth.
Located between Legacy Toys and Lane Bryant in front of the former Sears entrance, the open-concept play area will include safe spaces for toddlers to play and interactive games for older kids.
“Installing a children’s play area has been a primary focus for us because we know how important it is to the families in our communities,” general manager Katie Kaz said in a news release Tuesday. “The design will provide a warm and safe place for children to play all winter long, and the theme will promote outdoor play in an indoor space.”
A grand opening for the play area will be held Dec. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m.

As for the shuttered Sears and Younker’s spaces themselves, the mall’s online map tells visitors to “Stay tuned… more shopping, dining and entertainment in the works.”
