Place of honor

Our family has been enjoying a beautiful ceramic creche for more than 20 years. It was made for my husband, our four children and me by my very talented sister, Mary Ann. She attended a ceramic class for about 10 years in Eau Claire, Wis.

We reserve the top of the piano for the majority of the set and an overhanging decoration shelf for the shepherds. Baby Jesus is not placed in the manger until Christmas morning and the children take turns with this honor. This figurine rests in tissue in an antique ribbon box until Christmas morning.
