Pine County man charged with shooting during altercation

A Bruno man is facing charges after a shooting early Sunday morning.

According to the Pine County Sheriff's Office, it received a report of a man being shot about 12:30 a.m. The shooting occurred at an address on Wolf Creek Road in Bruno.

The incident began with an "altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation," Chief Deputy Steve Blackwell said.

The victim was shot in the leg. He is in stable condition, Blackwell said.

The 21-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene and is being held pending charges.

The sheriff's office is still investigating the shooting.
