Duluth firefighter Andy Beck (left) secures a MARSARS Cold Water Rescue Sling around Dave Werner during a water rescue training exercise using the new device at Rice's Point in Duluth on Thursday morning. The two are firefighters working out of 2 Engine in Lincoln Park. All firefighters are being trained to use the new tool, which provides additional buoyancy and security during a rescue. It should be on all the trucks by next week. Bob King / rking@duluthnews.com
