Britta Peterson of Duluth and Adam Kauppila of St. Paul were married June 23 in Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Duluth.
Her parents are Penny and Steve Christensen and Jon Peterson, all of Duluth. His parents are Pam and Rick Kauppila of Negaunee, Mich.
The bride chose her sister, Loren Jouppi, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amber Peterson, Julie Tuominen, Emily Kyllonen and Janel Kauppila. Gabbi Johnson was flower girl.
The groom chose Joel Hintsala as best man. Groomsmen were Nathan Jokinen, Luke Peterson, Justin Himes and Kalin Kauppila. Miles Himes and Avery Himes were ring bearers.
The bride, a 2002 graduate of Proctor High School, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth this year with a bachelor's degree in art and design. She is a jewelry designer and associate for Studio Vincent in Minneapolis.

The groom, a 2003 graduate of Negaunee High School, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Minneapolis. He works in the engineering department at Cummins in Fridley, Minn.
