Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, live and in concert, Saturday, Jan. 19, at 8 p.m. on PBS eight (WDSE). Under the baton of music director Markand Thaker, the DSSO presents "Masterworks Four" from the acoustically heightened auditorium of the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
The evening's performance begins with Walton's "Crown Imperial March" as the DSSO is joined by its youth symphony. Mendelssohn's "Violin Concerto," with concert master Erin Aldridge as featured soloist; Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet" and Ravel's "Daphnis & Chloe Suite No. 2" are also part of the evening's performance. During intermission, enjoy an interview with concert master Erin Aldridge produced by PBS eight's Karen Sunderman.
