Three vehicles were involved in a serious injury accident on Highway 135 near Virginia Monday evening, the Minnesota State Patrol reports.
The accident happened at 6 p.m. when an eastbound Ford Contour crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic, the patrol reported. The driver overcorrected and slide sideways into the westbound lane, and was hit on the rear, driver's side door by a Mercury Sable. The Sable then spun inot a Dodge Dakota.
The driver of the Ford, Julia M. Shanks, 26, of Aurora, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Her passenger, Daqrai R. Shanks, 6, was treated and released.
The condition of the driver of the Sable, Jeffery M. Jacobson, 26, of Virginia, was not reported.
The name and condition of the driver of the Dakota is scheduled to be released at 6 p.m. today.
