The Interstate 35 mega-project will cause the temporary closure of the northern end of Interstate 35 beginning Tuesday.
Construction will shut down I-35 from 21st Avenue East to 26th Avenue East. Traffic will be rerouted to London Road.
London Road also will be restricted to a single lane in each direction from 24th Avenue East to 32nd Avenue East.
The Minnesota Depart-ment of Transportation is replacing pavement that's more than 20 years old.
