Part of 21st Avenue East to close next week

The ongoing reconstruction of Fourth Street in Duluth will lead to the closure of another major thoroughfare starting next week.
St. Louis County Public Works officials reported that 21st Avenue East at Fourth Street is scheduled to close to traffic next Wednesday, with the closure lasting until late September. Traffic will be detoured using Kent Street, 24th Avenue East and Superior Street.
For now, Fourth Street remains closed to traffic between 14th and 23rd avenues east. The stretch between 14th and 18th avenues east is tentatively slated to reopen to traffic on Tuesday.
