Lifeguards have closed all public beaches on Park Point because of unsafe conditions.
"The wind off Lake Superior or other weather conditions is producing high waves and this may create unsafe swimming conditions," Duluth's Department of Parks and Recreation announced.
The department is urging people to stay out of the water along the lake side of Park Point until further notice.
