The Independence Party has nominated a logger and business owner to challenge Jim Oberstar, D-Chisholm, in November for the 8th District Congressional election.
Tim Olson of Orr, the owner of Olson Logging and Olson Sawmill, was nominated at the Independence Party convention in Hinkley at Tobie's Restaurant.
Chip Cravaack was nominated on Saturday to be the 8th District Republican to challenge Oberstar.
