One person was killed Monday in a single-vehicle crash in Washburn.
The accident occurred at about 12:20 a.m. after the driver failed to negotiate a curve on County Highway C near Big Rock Road, Washburn Police Chief Ken Johnson said.
When officers arrived at the scene they found that the vehicle was in the woods and was fully engulfed in flames. After the Washburn Fire Department put out the fire, officials determined that one person was in the vehicle.
