A head-on collision on St. Louis County's Midway Road Sunday afternoon proved deadly.
Although initial details remained sketchy, the Minnesota State Patrol reported that at 3:43 p.m., a 2005 Suzuki utility vehicle was observed northbound in the southbound lane of Midway Road. One southbound vehicle swerved and successfully avoided the wrong-way vehicle, but a 2005 Chevrolet Impala struck the Suzuki head-on at 2850 Midway Road.
The identities of the two male drivers involved have not been released, but one died as a result the collision, and the other was hospitalized.
