Crashing semis shook McGregor on Monday night, when two rigs collided at the intersection of Minnesota Highways 210 and 65.
Jonathon Semmelroth, 24, of Hermantown, was transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center Hospital in Aitkin with non-life threatening injuries, the Minnesota State Patrol reported in a news release. He'd been driving a 2003 Kenworth north on Highway 65 just after 6 p.m. and went through a stop sign, the Patrol reported, before colliding with the trailer being hauled by a westbound 2003 Peterbilt driven by Thomas Gruis, 50, of Mankato. Gruis was not injured in the broadside crash.
Both trucks and trailers sustained moderate damage as they left the road, one crashing into a street sign, the other a street light, before coming to rest in ditches, the Patrol reported.
