One person was injured in a Sunday afternoon house fire in Alborn Township.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said the fire was reported at 1:12 p.m. The fire appears to have started in a bedroom of the residence at 8916 Aerie Lake Road.
A 48-year-old man was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries caused by smoke inhalation. No one else was injured during the incident. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The home was completely destroyed despite the efforts of crews from multiple volunteer fire departments from Alborn, Meadowlands, Northland Grand Lake and Independence.
