The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Brunet River in south-central Sawyer County as officials keep an eye on the Price Dam, near Winter.
The advisory is in effect through this evening.
The Weather Service relayed a report from the Sawyer County Sheriff's Department at 11 a.m. that the dam had reached capacity. The area received heavy rain overnight.
No flooding was occurring as of 11 a.m. However, additional rainfall has the potential to cause the dam to fail, the Weather Service said.
If flooding occurs, it could affect State Highway 27 and County Highways W and D in the townships of Winter, Radisson, Meadowbrook and Weirgor.
