Health officials are again recommending no contact with the water at two Park Point sites.
Tests on water samples taken this week at the new Duluth Boat Club beach and the Hearding Island canal beach found elevated E. coli bacteria levels. The elevated levels indicate the possible presence of fecal contamination.
Both beaches are located on the harbor side of the point, the boat club beach at 14th Avenue, the Hearding Island canal beach at 20th Avenue. Both beaches are scheduled to be re-sampled on Mon-day.
