The March of Dimes Foundation is changing its emphasis.
While it will continue to work to overcome birth defects and reduce the number of premature births, the national organization will increase its focus on the health of all babies.
The foundation's Northland division announced the change at a news conference this morning at Duluth's US Bank.
"This year we are taking a greater focus on all babies," senior community director Larraine Peterson said. "We help all babies born," not just those who are sick or premature.
The change in focus will result in new and refreshed Web sites, a new public service announcement campaign, a new logo and redesigned printed materials.

In addition, the foundation is changing the name of its largest fundraising event from WalkAmerica to March for Babies. The event is being held in Duluth on April 26.
