Classes in beginning Norwegian start Sept. 17 and last for five weeks. Cost is $65 plus $11 for materials. Classes in Danish, Swedish and Finnish begin in early October and run for eight weeks. Cost is $104 plus $11 for materials.
Beginning Sept. 29, a Swedish conversation group meets 1-2:30 p.m. Mondays. Each week there will be a different leader and topic to get the conversations started. This is a low-key enjoyable time to hone or maintain Swedish-speaking skills. People of all abilities are encouraged to join.
Film and pizza nights are Tuesday, Sept. 30 and Thursdays, Oct. 23 and Nov. 13. Pizza is at 6 p.m. and film at 7 p.m. To find out what films are showing, read the clues on the Nordic Center's Facebook page. There is a charge for the pizza, but the movie is free.
