A second batch of about 1,700 delinquency notices for parking ticket violations in Duluth will be mailed this week.
The notices are among 3,500 that Complus, the Tarrytown, N.Y.-based company now handling the city's collection of parking ticket fines, is sending to delinquent violators. The first batch of 1,700 was sent Jan. 16. Complus replaced St. Louis County as the city's parking ticket collector Oct. 22.
Similar delinquency notices will likely be mailed out every month, said Jim Lesar, who heads the Duluth police traffic unit.

The city shifted collection from the county to Complus to receive more revenue. Previously the city received only $4 out of a $12 ticket; now Complus collects the money and sends all but 13 percent back to the city.
