WDIO/WIRT-DT has hired a new Good Morning Northland news anchor.
Samantha Mehrotra of Eden Prairie, Minn., was previously a reporter and anchor for KUMV-TV, an NBC affiliate, in Williston, N.D.
She earned a bachelor's degree in political science with emphases on environmental and media studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., in 2009.
