Today's soggy forecast has forced the postponement of neighborhood cleanups in Riverside, Smithville, Morgan Park, Gary-New Duluth and Fond du Lac.
The cleanups are now scheduled for May 3 from9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are encouraged to meet at their local community center to help clean up litter.
As in past years, dumpsters will be available to dispose of personal trash and household items at the Lund Tool House at 2407 Commonwealth Ave. from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents of Riverside, Smithville, Morgan Park, Gary New Duluth and Fond du Lac will be charged $5 per pickup load.
The Lakewalk cleanup scheduled for today was postponed to 10 a.m. May 3.
