The North Central Conference has named two UMD volleyball players as players of the week.
Kari Wolford was named offensive player. Wolford, a senior outside hitter from Avon, Minn., hit .410 in three-game sweeps of Southwest Minnesota and North Dakota. She averaged 3.33 kills per game.
Lindsey Clairmont was named the defensive player. Clairmont, a junior middle blocker from Long Lake, Minn., collected 2.33 blocks and 0.67 digs per game in wins over Southwest Minnesota State and North Dakota.
In addition, UMD player Katie Gangelhoff was nominated for setter of the week, although honors in that category, however, went to Katie Agnew of Nebraska-Omaha.
