The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the National Bank of Commerce in Poplar.
A lone male entered the bank shortly after
10 a.m. Tuesday brandishing a black handgun, Douglas County Sheriff Tom Dalbec said. He said the suspect robbed the bank and was last seen exiting the rear door. He left in a bank employee's dark blue Kia Sedona minivan, Wisconsin license plate 752-DBK.
No one was injured in the robbery, and no shots were fired, Dalbec said.
The sheriff is asking for the public's help in finding the minivan, which had a Wyoming sticker on the rear bumper and damage to the driver-side front door unrelated to the robbery.

Despite getting information out to Wisconsin Crime Net within an hour of the robbery, Dalbec said the sheriff's office doesn't know much about the suspect. He was covered up so they don't have hair color or other physical information such as tattoos that could identify him.
The suspect is described as white, estimated to be in his mid- to late 20s, about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a greenish-blue plaid jacket with a light-colored colored striping, gray sweatpants with a wide, dark-colored stripe running down each leg, dark-colored ski gloves with white lettering on the back of each hand, a black mask and gray hat with a greenish-colored stripe around it.
Dalbec said whenever there is a robbery like this, authorities want to solve it quickly to prevent other robberies.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (715) 395-1371 or 911, their local law enforcement agency if outside Douglas County or the FBI's 24-hour hot line at (414) 276-4684.
