Motorcyclist, 63, dies in northern Minn. crash with vehicle

EMILY, Minn. -- A 63-year-old motorcyclist from Fifty Lakes, Minn., has died after his motorcycle swerved into the other lane on a county highway near Emily in northern Minnesota on Memorial Day about 6:10 p.m.

A passenger on the motorcycle, a 26-year-old woman from Isanti, Minn., was airlifted to St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

The driver of the vehicle wasn’t injured, said Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.


The names of the man who died and the woman injured are being withheld pending notification of family. The crash remains under investigation, said Dahl.
