A total of 11 people have now been charged in a methamphetamine manufacturing case in Itasca County first reported in April.

Itasca County Attorney Jack Muhar on Monday announced charges against nine additional defendants who join the original defendants, Ross Ball, 27, and Brandon Burthwick, 22, both of Grand Rapids.

Muhar said charges have been filed against Andrew John Burt, 21; Steven Joseph Burt, 22; Cory Ray Richards, 20; Skyler Dawn Rhodes, 21; Brandi Lee Rhodes, 19; Christopher John Moss, 19; Daniel Jeffrey Hawkinson, 18; Jacquelyn Marie Lueck, 19; and Stephen Metzenhuber, 38, all Grand Rapids area residents. The charges included felony aiding and abetting meth production, felony conspiracy to manufacture meth and conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime.

The criminal complaint says that on April 4, a search warrant was conducted for methamphetamine at Burthwick's residence in Grand Rapids. Law enforcement made contact with a number of individuals both inside and outside of the trailer home. The report said Burthwick admitted that he and the other co-conspirators had been planning a "meth cook that would last several days."
