October's drought was bent a bit but not broken by about a tenth of an inch of rain in Duluth. We're still nearly an inch short for the month. Today there will be a slight chance for a little game of catch-up for part of the region.

The passing cold front that brought the Sunday morning rain has moved east, and now a warm front is crawling toward us. That front should bring a 20 percent chance for rain to Minnesota but may avoid Wisconsin. The warm front also will bump up temperatures a bit.

Today should have Minnesota highs from 65 to 73 with the rain chance. It should be partly cloudy in Wisconsin with highs from 70 to 76. Both areas will be warmer than the normal of 55.

If today's rain chance doesn't pay off, several more will come this week with the best odds of a soaker hitting us on Wednesday.
