Walter F. Mondale, 42nd vice president of the United States, will be in Duluth on Thursday, June 12 for a special dedication ceremony.
The Minnesota Legislature named Highway 53 from Superior Street to Central Entrance as "Walter F. Mondale Drive" during the 2008 session. Thursday's ceremony will unveil one of the signs to be used in detailing the route.
A free public event is scheduled for noon at 3802 Trinity Road. The community is invited to attend.
