An 83-year-old woman who went missing in Melrose, Minn., on Thursday has been found dead, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reported.
The BCA released a missing person alert Friday asking for the public's help in finding Clara Pundsack, who was last seen around 4 p.m. Thursday driving from her home in Melrose.
The agency later said Pundsack was found dead late Friday afternoon near Melrose.
The Stearns County sheriff's office said a homeowner discovered her body in the snow around 5:30 p.m. at a local farm.
Pundsack had a history of dementia, the sheriff's office said. There was no immediate indication her death was suspicious. An autopsy was planned.
