A Duluth man who suffers from a form of amnesia and was reported missing by his family Dec. 14 was spotted in Texas later that day, but remains incommunicado.
Duluth police information officer Brad Wick confirmed Tuesday a news release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department that Scott Michael Tridgell, 26, was seen in Post, Texas, at 10:52 a.m. Dec. 14. Wick said Tridgell has been entered as a missing person into a National Crime Information Center data base.
Relatives said Tridgell left his residence in Duluth on the morning of Dec. 13. He left a note that he was going to a job interview.
Police said there has been no indication of foul play.
According to police, Tridgell suffers from a form of amnesia that limits his ability to recall important details regarding his personal life, such as where he lives or where he has been. It was possibly brought on after illness and stress exacerbated by the effects of five concussions.

The 2002 Duluth East graduate was living in Edina, Minn., in 2007 and working as an accountant for a Twin Cities grocery chain when he drove his pickup truck away from his apartment on the morning of Oct. 10. He didn't remember what happened during the 23 days between then and Nov. 2, when he was found parked at a rest stop in Menomonie, Wis., a city 60 miles east of the Twin Cities to which he had no ties.
Tridgell is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair. He may be driving a black Toyota Tacoma pickup, Minnesota license number 672-DTY. The vehicle has severe hail damage.
