Minnesota woman sentenced for killing estranged husband

WALKER - A 62-year-old Garrison woman received 32 1/2 years in prison for the second-degree murder of her estranged husband and interference with a dead body.

WALKER - A 62-year-old Garrison woman received 32½ years in prison for the second-degree murder of her estranged husband and interference with a dead body.

Helene Mitchell-Abraham was sentenced Monday in Cass County District Court.

Previously, a jury found her guilty of both charges. During a trial, prosecutors showed Mitchell-Abraham intentionally struck and killed 64-year-old Wendell Wayne Abraham with a vehicle Sept. 23, 2010.
