Just a day after it was declared repaired, Duluth's Minnesota Slip lift bridge slipped back out of service on Wednesday.
The city reported that the pedestrian bridge, which links Canal Park to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, was out of service Wednesday and may still be out of service Thursday as repairs are made.
The bridge - also known as the little blue bridge - went out of service on Sunday when strong winds fouled its cable mechanisms. At that time the city lifted and pinned the bridge in an upright position. Contractors fixed the bridge and it returned to service Tuesday morning, before encountering additional problems on Wednesday.
