The School of the Minnesota Ballet is accepting registrations for its six-week summer session, which runs June 10 to July 8. Classes include "Creative Movement" for children of pre-school and kindergarten age, "Pre-Ballet," "Ballet Technique -- Advanced," "Pre-Point," "Pointe," "Pointe Variations," "Character (Eastern European folk dance)," "Modern," "Jazz," "Choreography," "Pilates Mat Exercises," "Adult Ballet," and "Creative Dance" for children with physical challenges.
Most classes for younger children will be held at the Ballet's Depot studios. Classes for older students will be at the Grain Exchange studio. All classes are open to the public; auditions are required for ballet technique classes beginning with the Ballet IV level.
A Saturday Sampler on June 8 at the Ballet's Depot studios offers free classes for potential students to try.
