Mavericks update
Mankato split a nonconference series with Wayne State last weekend, winning 6-1 before falling 7-3. Points leader sophomore Maggie Fisher (7 goals, 5 assists) scored two goals in Friday's win. Junior Lindsay Macy (6-6--12) , a Wisconsin transfer, had a goal and two assists. Britni Kehler (2.79 goals against average; .916 save percentage) earned her fourth win.
Bulldogs update
UMD was idle last weekend with five players in Kitchner, Ontario, for the Four Nations Cup. The Bulldogs were most recently swept by Minnesota 5-3, 1-0. Three players have 14 points: Sr. F Noemie Marin (9G, 5A), Sr. F Jessica Koizumi (6G, 8A) and Fr. F Emmanuelle Blais (5G, 9A). Fr. G Kim Martin (.952, 1.24) and Sr. G Riitta Schaublin (.964, .83) have split time in goal. Last weekend Martin helped Team Sweden to a third-place finish in the international tournament. She will miss this weekend's series with an injury. Samantha Hough will spot in as a fourth-line forward in her first series of the season. Juliane Jubinville remains sidelined with a concussion. Michaela Lanzl is still out with an injury incurred in the St. Cloud State series.
