Military vehicles on display Saturday

A car show Saturday outside of the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center in Superior will feature military and civilian vehicles.
Presented by Kern and Company, the event will feature an M60 tank, an operational M4A3 Sherman Tank, vehicles from the Wisconsin National Guard and a U.S. Coast Guard boat. There will be World War II re-enactors from Fox Company, 2nd Battalion 502nd 101st Airborne who will host a World War II weapons demonstration, along with a paratrooper jump demonstration. Visitors can view the M4 Sherman tank up close and crawl inside.
The Twin Ports Mustang and Ford Car Club will host a “show ’N’ shine” for civilian cars and Benna Ford will showcase some new models.
Admission to the event, at 305 Harbor View Parkway, is $5 and includes entry into the center. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are asked to park in the green space across from Marina Drive, with golf carts available to assist the elderly or handicapped.
