Two men whom authorities say committed more than 20 residential burglaries in three states are in the Carlton County Jail facing multiple felony charges.
According to law enforcement officials, Michigan State Police called the Cloquet Police Department on Monday regarding the two suspects who reportedly had left the Michigan area Sunday night. The State Patrol gave Cloquet a description of the suspects' vehicle.
Cloquet police located the vehicle in the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College dorm parking lot on Monday. The car was seized and a search warrant obtained. When the car was searched, stolen guns, knives, electronic equipment and various other items from Michigan burglaries were found in the trunk. A second search warrant was served on the suspect's college dorm room where additional items thought to be stolen were found. A check on a Glock pistol revealed it was stolen in a burglary in Pine County.
Authorities believe the two committed at least 11 burglaries in Carlton County, six in Pine County, two in Douglas County and seven in Upper Michigan.
Cloquet police also located a GPS unit used during the crime spree, and the Cloquet Police Department's forensic lab was able to retrieve the locations, dates and times of the burglaries.

One of the men is a 19-year-old from Moose Lake; the other is an 18-year-old from Lake Linden, Mich., who is now living in Minnesota.
In addition to the felony charges in Carlton County, the suspects face charges in Pine County, the state of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
