Christina Wagner and Alex Wyrick, both of Hermantown, plan to be married Saturday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Duluth.
Her parents are Rick and Terri Wagner of Hermantown. His parents are Dave and Joanne Wyrick of Hermantown.
The future bride, a 2003 graduate of Hermantown High School, graduated from Lake Superior College in Duluth this year with an associate degree in sales and marketing. She is the store manager at Pier 1 Imports in Duluth.
The future groom, a 2003 graduate of Hermantown High School, graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville this year with a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering.
Unforgettable cruise

For my birthday two years ago, Alex bought us a cruise to the Bahamas. A couple of months later when we were leaving, my mom had told me it was going to be a trip I would never forget.
The second day of our cruise was the formal night for the captain's dinner. We were all dressed up and after dinner we went for a walk to the back of the boat. After about an hour of nervousness from Alex, he eventually proposed. As he got down on one knee to ask, a couple who happened to be there took a picture so we have picture of the moment I said yes!
My mom was right. It was a trip I will never forget.
