It's officially official!

Even though we had been preparing for our July 2007 wedding and engaged for more than a year and a half, David and I decided we should have a short ceremony before our second deployment to Iraq. But, we both wanted to make sure we could still commit in front of everyone and celebrate with all our family in friends in July. We decided to keep it a secret and keep everything as planned for July 28, 2007. Little did we know how hard that would be!

In December 2006 we had a quick, intimate ceremony with about 15 friends and family members. It didn't take long for everyone to find out -- we were too excited! Not to mention I had to change my name tag on my uniforms, so it was a little obvious.

Our deployment went on as scheduled, as did our July wedding. Both days were more wonderful than we could have ever imagined!
